CEREC Fillings / Crowns
Using CEREC technology, we are able to add fillings and crowns in a single office visit, giving you the option of fast and effective results.
When you chip or damage a tooth, the effects can be both uncomfortable, embarrassing, and dangerous for your dental health. On the other hand, some people would like a cosmetic enhancement as quickly as possible for things like wedding photos or an important event.

CAD / CAM Technology For Teeth
Traditionally, in order to make a dental filling or crown, dentists must create a mold of your tooth. This mold is used to manufacture an artificial piece that fits snugly into gaps or covers missing pieces.
Instead of using molds, CEREC technology uses a picture to create artificial parts. Computer aided design (CAD) and 3D digital imaging create inlays, overlays, crowns, or veneers within a couple of hours. We are able to fix chips, provide cosmetic veneers or enhancements, and offer additional restorative services.
Patients have the ability to transform their smiles in a quick visit, and our dentists have total control of the color and appearance of veneers without outsourcing to a lab. Removing this step of communication produces extremely accurate results.
CEREC crowns are able to be applied much quicker than traditional crowns but they also last just as long if not longer than traditional crowns. Depending on the specific case you can typically expect a CEREC crown to last roughly 10 to 15 years. It is possible for your crown to last longer or shorter than this number depending on your specific case and how the crown is cared for.
CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, and as the title states, CEREC crowns are typically made out of ceramic. They are able to use the CEREC technology to shape the ceramic crown perfectly to the shape needed by the patient.
Yes. CEREC crowns use a block of ceramic to shape the crown to fit the patients need. This allows for the crown to be safely applied but also for it to be much more comfortable as it is a perfect fit.
CEREC technology allows for the patient to have a ceramic crown that is perfectly shaped to fit their needs. This makes the crown more comfortable compared to a traditional crown. The other major benefit of CEREC crowns is that they can be created and applied within a single day. That is why they are often referred to as “same day crowns”.
There are a variety of different factors when it comes to the cost of CEREC Crowns but typically the price is comparable to traditional crowns. Each case is unique when it comes to the price but our dental professionals strive to give the best possible service at the best possible price.
Ceramic and porcelain crowns are two different ways to repair damaged teeth. The main difference between the two is the materials used as ceramic crowns are made from pure ceramic, while porcelain crowns are made from metal that is capped with porcelain.
It is difficult to speak in absolutes as each case is different but typically CEREC crowns are covered by dental insurance. The question is how much of the procedure is covered by insurance as this is common to vary depending on the insurance provider and dental practice.
